Printing Pages from the Bible Study

One user said “I’m trying to print just the Table of Contents and the Bible Lesson Planner but I’m not able to because my printer doesn’t recognize vii as a page number and the Bible Lesson Planner doesn’t have any page number. Do you know how I can print those. The only place I’ve been able to find those 2 items is in the Olympian Bible Study (which is the whole book).”

Here’s a quick walk-through to answer the question.

Start by going to your bible study and clicking the PDF for the entire bible study.

This should open the PDF file in your browser. If it doesn’t you should use a browser that can access PDF files. Most modern browsers do or the functionality can be added. However, that is outside the scope of this walk-through. Now click the printer icon and it will launch the print screen for your browser.

Now enter the page numbers you want to print from the file. Keep in mind that this isn’t the page numbers listed in the document. Such as VII, or II etc. Your Internet browser doesn’t see those. Instead it takes the cover as “Page 1” and counts up from there. Scroll through the document until you find the pages you want to print. As you scroll you’ll see page numbers change telling you what your browser determines to be what page. Those page numbers will be what it displays when you select which page numbers to print.

Scroll through until you’ve decided what page numbers you want to print. You can enter several different sets of pages by adding a comma between them. So if we wanted to print the table of contents for the Olympian Bible study, we would type “3-5.” The dash tells the computer to print all the page in-between these two pages. Now if there was another set of pages we wanted to print we could start over and enter “13-15” to print the Bible Lesson Planner then hit print. Or, we could simply type “3-5,13-15” that would print everything from pages 3 through 5, and everything from pages 13 through 15 both at the same time.

Once you’ve entered the correct page numbers you want to print only those pages should appear in your preview window. Scroll through to make sure that only the pages you want to print are showing. If everything looks good, hit print.

Keep in mind you need to have your printer selected under “Destination” in order for the file to actually print. This means your printer must be plugged in to the computer using a USB cable, and it you need to have loaded a driver for that printer. If those two things are done you can select your printer under “Destination.”
